The goal of this course is to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and mindset required to safely and effectively perform a spot repair while maintaining high workmanship standards. Additionally, participants must gain a comprehensive understanding of work Instructions to ensure that all repairs are accurately documented and completed in full compliance.
This training aligns with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy's (SGRE) standards for spot repair on metal and composite surfaces, and upon completion, technicians receive a 3T Certificate recognized within SGRE frameworks.

Course Structure
- Make small repairs with sport paint on steel and composite
- Personal safety working with epoxy resins and isocyanates
- Correct personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Material knowledge regarding paint, primer, topcoat

Course Content
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
▪ Demonstrate understanding of coatings, including epoxy resins and isocyanates, and their correct handling.
▪ Interpret and apply information from Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and relevant work instructions.
▪ Identify surface preparation requirements for both steel and composite materials.
▪ Perform surface preparation techniques, including sanding, grinding, and cleaning.
▪ Correctly mix and apply coatings using brush and roller application methods.
▪ Measure and assess environmental conditions using a hygrometer, thermometer, dew point meter, and IR thermometer.
▪ Use a wet film comb gauge to ensure correct coating thickness during application.
▪ Follow procedural guidelines and documentation requirements to complete a spot repair.
▪ Ensure compliance with safety protocols, work instructions, and coating system specifications.
