Course Overview

This course provides delegates with an updated knowledge in all aspects of rescue, handling, manoeuvring, and driving their craft in various conditions and situations. This includes righting the craft after capsize.

Prerequisites

In order to complete a Proficiency in General Purpose/Rescue Boat Operations Refresher training course delegates must have an initial Proficiency in General Purpose/Rescue Boat Operations certificate.
Due to certain aspects of the course being potentially physically demanding and/or stressful, delegates will be required to confirm their medical fitness & physical ability to participate on this course by completing our centre medical self-screening form prior to course commencement

Course Content

Delegates completing a Proficiency in General Purpose Rescue Boat Operations Refresher training course will be able to;
- Follow capsize reversal procedure
- Recover a casualty
- Response to emergencies
- Carry out general purpose and fast rescue boats (FRB) operations
- Launch and recover a FRB Perform search and recovery
- Tow a survival craft
- Understand helicopter operations and self-rescue
- Use onboard equipment

Certification

A 3t Training Services certificate will be issued upon successful completion

Revalidation

There is no revalidation period for this training programme but refresher training is recommended every 2 years or in line with company requirements.
