The OPITO OERTL Further training gives offshore emergency response team leaders (OERTLs) the opportunity to practice and maintain the skills required to lead offshore emergency response team members (OERTMs).
Delegates will have the opportunity to perform aspects of their role they cannot reasonably practise offshore including helideck emergency response situtations or incidents.
The training involves simulated scenarios including real smoke and fire and FOERTL learners undertaking further practical training in the OERTM role during the practical exercises where they are not required to perform the role as OERTL.
