Course Overview

This course will train delegates in the lifting operations and lifting equipment regulations (LOLER); how they apply in the workplace, the need for lifting plans, and how to construct lifting plans for specific tasks. The course is a mix of theoretical and practical sessions, during which delegates will be required to demonstrate their level of knowledge and understanding of the training programme content.

Prerequisites

Due to certain aspects of the course being potentially physically demanding and/or stressful, delegates will be required to confirm their medical fitness & physical ability to participate on this course by completing our centre medical self-screening form prior to course commencement

Course Content

By the end of this training programme delegates will;
- Be aware of the requirements of the LOLER regulations and other relevant regulations
- Be familiar with the requirements imposed by the regulations and how they affect their organisation
- Be able to interpret information from the regulations
- Be able to interpret information from a LOLER lifting plan
- Be able to gather information to enable them to construct a suitable lifting plan
- Be able to demonstrate the ability to plan out the lifting operation with regards to safety, and implement, audit and update the plan as required
- Be able to construct a detailed lifting plan using different methods.

Those who don't need to verify the assessment process but need to understand the process their organisation.

Certification

A 3t Training Services certificate will be issued upon successful completion

Revalidation

The course must be revalidated every 2 years.
