Course Overview

This course was developed because personnel working in any sector deserve to understand about health and safety.

The IOSH Working Safely course is comprised of five modules which are delivered in one day.

Each module summarises the key health and safety elements. These will be reinforced using a combination of case study examples and thought-provoking facts from recognisable scenarios.

Delegates will participate in informal and interactive quizzes and discussions before evaluating their knowledge with multi-format questions and hazard-spotting exercises.

Prerequisites

Due to certain aspects of the course being potentially physically demanding and/or stressful, delegates will be required to confirm their medical fitness & physical ability to participate on this course by completing our centre medical self-screening form prior to course commencement

Course Content

By the end of this IOSH Working Safely course programme delegates will be able to;
- Understand the impact of accidents on multiple levels
- Understand the importance of personal responsibility towards safety
- Define hazards and risks
- Complete a risk assessment
- Identify common hazards
- Understand the systems and processes that are used to improve safety performance
- Understand the ways and means environmental protection can be achieved

Certification

An IOSH certificate will be issued upon successful completion

Revalidation

There is no revalidation requirement for this training programme.
