Course Overview

This course will train delegates in the safe use of vibrating tools, in the possible hazards from such work, and in how to comply with the relevant regulations. The course is theoretical in content, during which delegates will be required to demonstrate their level of knowledge and understanding of the training programme content.

Prerequisites

Due to certain aspects of the course being potentially physically demanding and/or stressful, delegates will be required to confirm their medical fitness & physical ability to participate on this course by completing our centre medical self-screening form prior to course commencement

Course Content

By the end of this training programme delegates will:
- Be aware of the requirements of the regulations.
- Be aware of the duties of employer and employee under the regulations.
- Be able to identify vibrating tools that may give rise to HAVS.
- Be aware of how and where to find information pertaining to the exposure time and magnitude.
- Be aware of the risks and potential injuries and ill-effects from exposure to vibrating tools.
- Be able to interpret information from a vibration calculator.
- Be familiar with control measures required to reduce the risk of injury and damage.

A 3t Training Services certificate will be issued upon successful completion

Revalidation

The course must be revalidated every 2 years.
