This course has been developed in response to the demand for recognisable Control of Hazardous Energies Training in the wind industry. It has been created in co-operation between members of the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) based on risk assessments, in-depth descriptions of job roles and tasks relevant to CoHE in the wind industry as well as factual incident and accident statistics pertaining to the installation, commissioning, service and maintenance of wind turbine generators and wind power plants.
The overall objective of the course is to develop participants understanding of the hazardous energies associated with working on wind turbines, their roles and responsibilities, how to create a safe working environment and what to do in various routine, specialised and emergency scenarios.
