The Fire Extinguisher Training course will train delegates in the correct, safe use of different types of fire extinguishers and in how to extinguish small fires.
The course is a mix of theoretical and practical sessions, during which delegates will be required to demonstrate their level of knowledge and understanding of the training programme content.

Course Content
By the end of this training programme delegates will;
- Be aware of the classifications of fires.
- Be aware of how combustion occurs and the different ways fires can be extinguished.
- Be able to identify different types of extinguishers and how to check them before use.
- Be aware of safety precautions to be taken when using extinguishers.
- Be aware of how fires start and how they spread.
- Be able to raise the alarm in the event of discovering a fire in the workplace.
- Be able to operate an extinguisher and control a small fire.
Target Audience
Personnel with little or no experience of handling and using fire extinguishers.
Certification
A 3t Training Services certificate will be issued upon successful completion
Revalidation
The course must be revalidated every 2 years.
