The course covers the most current legislation and regulations which apply to Chop Saw. This includes hazards, precautions and the recommended documentation requirements. This course will train delegates in the correct method to use, fitting new wheels to grinding machines as required by the relevant regulations and in the safety considerations to be taken into account when working with grinding machines.
Bespoke training can be developed to include a practical element if requested.

Prerequisites
Course Content
Delegates completing this training course will be able to;
▪ Understand hazards and precautions
▪ Identify markings on Chop Saw for type, size and speed
▪ Store, handle and transport abrasive wheels
▪ Inspect and test abrasive wheels for damage
▪ Understand the function of all the components used with abrasive wheels
▪ Assemble and disassemble abrasive wheels
▪ Dress abrasive wheels
▪ Correctly adjust work rests, guards and sparks
▪ Use correct personal protective equipment (PPE)
Target Audience
Personnel involved in or supervising Chop Saw operations.
Certification
A 3t Training Services certificate will be issued upon successful completion
Revalidation
There is no set expiry for this course however it is recommended certification is revalidated every 2 years.

Health Prerequisites
Due to certain aspects of the course being potentially physically demanding and/or stressful, delegates will be required to confirm their medical fitness & physical ability to participate on this course by completing our centre medical self-screening form prior to course commencement
