ODITC recently welcomed Her Excellency Jane Miller, OBE, British High Commissioner to Guyana, and her husband Dr Rob Miller to our Survival Training Centre in Lusignan.
ODITC is a joint venture between 3t EnerMech, Orinduik Development Incorporated, and Windsor Technologies. The partnership is committed to building world-class training capabilities for the local workforce and supporting the development of the country’s fast growing offshore oil and gas sector.
During the visit, Jane met with the ODITC board of directors, including Guyanese partners Harrychand Tulsi and Andy Rambharose, alongside board members Frazer Thomson, Phil Stewart, and Paul Knowles. We discussed the strong UK-Guyana relationship and shared our ambitious plans for expanding ODITC’s training portfolio, including Advanced Firefighting.
ODITC is Guyana’s first OPITO-accredited training centre, delivering essential offshore safety courses like BOSIET. We also offer a wide range of technical and competency-based training, accredited by ECITB, STCW, HSI, and other global bodies.
HUET experience in action
Without a doubt the highlight of the visit was the Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET). After a detailed safety briefing and simulator prep, Jane and Rob joined the ODITC team in the pool to complete the exercise. Thanks to the expert training, they successfully escaped from the submerged and rotated helicopter simulator.

ODITC are grateful to Jane and Rob for their time, enthusiasm, and willingness to take part in the survival training experience. Their visit was a powerful endorsement of the work ODITC is doing.
ODITC are equally proud of the team, whose professionalism and knowledge delivered an unforgettable and safe experience for everyone. ODITC continues to raise the bar for safety and skills training in Guyana as it builds local workforce capability to global standards.
