In 2022, the partnership evolved and is now known as ODITC, the joint venture between the local entity and 3t EnerMech.
Vital Fire Solutions
In 2022, 3t Training Services launched a joint venture with Vital Fire Solutions (VFS), the trading arm of County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service (CDDFRS), to bring world-class offshore firefighting training to the Teesside and County Durham regions.
This joint venture combines the specialist firefighting expertise of VFS with 3t’s unrivalled experience in offshore oil and gas training to deliver the very best offshore firefighting training experience.
The exciting project has seen the development of a brand-new 20,000 square foot offshore emergency fire training facility at VFS’s existing Bowburn training ground, incorporating a three-storey mock offshore platform rig with full size helideck, helicopter simulator and internal structures to mirror those on an offshore installation.
All key training courses required for offshore firefighters and approved by OPITO, are delivered here. Offshore firefighting training courses include Offshore Emergency Response Team Member (OERTM), Offshore Emergency Response Team Leader (OERTL), Helideck Emergency Response Team Member (HERTM), Helideck Emergency Response Team Leader (HERTL) and Helideck Operations Initial Training (HOIT). We also offer refresher training.
The centre complements 3t’s Teesside Training Centre, bringing outstanding industry training to the doorstep of local people.
