The ORTIS Refinery Training Simulator has been designed to replicate the process controls found in a real life refinery control room. The simulator generates a realistic control room environment by replicating the control systems and operator stations allowing the in-depth training of personnel. |

Trainee operators are equipped with a control console emulating the SCADA (Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition) functions as found in a modern-day centralised control room. The figure below illustrates a trainee operator station emulating the Honeywell TDC-3000 Control system. Several ORTIS control stations can be linked together to enable integrated training of different processes across an entire refinery.
The Instructor is equipped with a control station that enables him to monitor the progress and assess trainee operator performance. In addition he has a range of powerful simulation tools at his command enabling him to easily configure new operational scenarios and impose simulated process problem conditions such as machinery failures.
