TestSIM provides a system of hardware and software systems which allow well test procedures to be learned and validated by a wide range of associated personnel. Besides providing introductory training suitable for new recruits, TestSIM is able to test the knowledge and capabilities of the most experienced of field personnel.

With TestSIM real process equipment configured at a training site is adapted so that process monitoring and control instrumentation responds to the process parameters as predicted by the simulation process mathematical model. Operator actions made to valves and control equipment are also monitored by the simulation computer so that the model responds accordingly.
