New Completion and Well Intervention Simulator developed for Shell

Drilling Systems has recently delivered Phase I of Shell's new Completion and Well Intervention (CWI) Management Trainer. The first pilot course took place in Rijswijk, The Netherlands in early December 2011. The simulator focuses on Command and Control / decision making for Shell's Supervisors and covers Coiled Tubing, Snubbing, E-line, Slickline & Hydraulic Workover.
The new CWI Management Trainer, along with the new and upgraded DrillSIM simulators in Rijswijk will be used to support Shell's new Advanced Well Control Courses being rolled out across their global operations. DrillSIM solutions are also used to support Shell's operations in Malaysia, Nigeria, Oman (PDO), Russia (Sakhalin Energy Investmemt Co), The Netherlands (NAM Simwell) and the USA.
